StatSheet is projecting Maryland as an NIT six seed. The Terrapins are ranked #104 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 14-9 overall record and a 4-5 record in the ACC.

Over the last four games, Maryland grabbed wins against Clemson and Virginia Tech but also suffered losses to AP #5 North Carolina and RPI #36 Miami (FL).

Maryland struggles against strong competition, with a 3-9 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes an 0-7 record against the RPI Top 50 and an 0-3 record against AP ranked teams. The Terrapins have no resume to speak of, with neither quality wins nor bad losses under their belt.

The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are New Mexico (19-4, 5-2 Mountain West, StatRank #42), Ole Miss (14-8, 4-4 SEC, StatRank #51), Minnesota (17-7, 5-6 Big Ten, StatRank #49), and St. Joseph's (PA) (15-9, 5-4 A-10, StatRank #39).

The first four teams out are Brigham Young (20-6, 8-3 West Coast, StatRank #46), Colorado (16-7, 8-3 Pac 12, StatRank #66), Notre Dame (15-8, 7-3 Big East, StatRank #61), and Texas (15-9, 5-6 Big 12, StatRank #71).

The next four out are Arizona (16-8, 7-4 Pac 12, StatRank #65), LSU (13-9, 3-5 SEC, StatRank #70), Pittsburgh (15-9, 4-7 Big East, StatRank #63), and Purdue (15-9, 5-6 Big Ten, StatRank #62).
